Description

Fried Stuffed Olives with Goat Cheese

Ingredients

  • Kalamata olives 36 pieces
  • Farmers cheese 5 oz
  • Capers 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Chopped Sage Leaves 2 tablespoons
  • Wheat Flour 1½ tablespoons
  • Breadcrumbs 5 oz
  • Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
  • Vegetable Oil to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Carefully open the olives to create a hole, ensuring they maintain their shape and stay in one piece.

Step 2

Mix the cheese, chopped capers, garlic, and half of the parsley. Season with spices. Stuff a small amount of the mixture into each olive and shape them.

Step 3

In three separate bowls, place the flour, breadcrumbs, and lightly beaten eggs. Add the chopped parsley to the bowl with breadcrumbs. Dip each olive first in flour, then in egg, and finally in breadcrumbs. Place the olives on a plate and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Step 4

Heat a large amount of vegetable oil in a pot and fry the olives for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil and sprinkle with spices.

Step 5

Serve warm with lemon wedges.
