Fried Potatoes with Feta and Oregano
Ingredients
- Olive Oil to taste
- Salad Potatoes 4 pieces
- Fresh basil leaves 1 teaspoon
- Lemon ½ piece
- Feta cheese ½ cup
- Coarse Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the potatoes well and cut them into thin strips.
Step 2
In a pot, heat the olive oil to 320°F (320 degrees Fahrenheit), add the sliced potatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes until light golden and tender. Transfer to a plate.
Step 3
Heat the oil to 375°F (374 degrees Fahrenheit), add the potatoes and fry for another 2-3 minutes until golden.
Step 4
Place the potatoes on a heatproof plate and sprinkle with crumbled feta. Put under the broiler in the oven and let the cheese melt slightly.
Step 5
Sprinkle with oregano and salt and drizzle with lemon juice.
