- Fat 3 tablespoons
- Mixed tomatoes of different colors 4 pieces
- Breadcrumbs 0 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the fat in a cast-iron skillet. Dip the tomatoes in the egg and coat them in breadcrumbs. Fry slowly in the fat on both sides until golden brown. Place the tomatoes on a plate.
Step 2
For each tablespoon of fat left in the skillet, add a tablespoon of flour and stir, then pour in the cup of warm milk and keep on the heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour the gravy over the tomatoes and serve hot.
