Fried Cauliflower in Aromatic Herb Breadcrumbs with Lemon Zest
Ingredients
- Cauliflower 0 lbs
- Olive Oil 4 tablespoons
- Coarse Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- White bread 2 pieces
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Chopped Sage Leaves 2 tablespoons
- Chopped Sage Leaves 2 teaspoons
- Lemon 1 piece
- Grated Lemon Zest 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the cauliflower into small florets.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 445°F.
Step 3
On a baking sheet, mix the cauliflower with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, season with salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes until golden, stirring once.

Meanwhile, in a food processor, combine the chopped bread and minced garlic. Process until crumbly. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
In a small skillet, heat the remaining olive oil, add the bread crumbs and sauté until golden, about 3–6 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and let cool. Then stir in the parsley, thyme, and lemon zest.
Step 6
Drizzle the cauliflower with lemon juice and sprinkle with the breadcrumbs. Toss and serve.
