Fried Cauliflower
Ingredients
- Salt to taste
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour 0 oz
- Safflower Oil 10 fl oz
- Milk 2 tablespoons
- Lemon ½ piece
- Cauliflower 0 lbs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Separate the florets, rinse the cauliflower in cold water with the juice of half a lemon. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the cauliflower and a little milk, and cook uncovered for 20 minutes until it becomes tender. Drain the water, being careful not to damage the florets, rinse under cold water, and place on a paper towel to dry.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a deep skillet to 355°F. Dip each floret in flour, then in beaten egg, and fry for a few minutes until the florets are golden. Do not fry too many at once – it’s better to do it in batches.
Step 3
Remove the florets with a slotted spoon and place them on a warmed dish. Serve immediately. This is a great side dish for meat.
