- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Tomatoes 0 lbs
- Safflower Oil 3 tablespoons
- Conchiglie Pasta 12 pieces
- Olive Oil 0 qt
- Beer 10 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Take the already stuffed cannelloni.
Step 2
In this recipe, you can use ready-made thick tomato sauce – 300 ml or make the sauce yourself: blanch the tomatoes, peel them, and chop. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the tomatoes over low heat, mashing with a spatula – for 15 minutes. Let the mixture cool, then blend, adding salt and sugar.
Step 3
Sift the flour with salt through a sieve, add the egg, mix lightly, then gradually pour in the beer until the batter reaches the consistency of a thick sauce.
Step 4
Heat the olive oil in a pan. Dip the stuffed cannelloni one by one into the beer batter, then place them in the pan seam side down. Fry until golden, then remove with a slotted spoon. Drain excess oil on paper towels and do not let them cool while frying the remaining tubes.
Step 5
Serve hot – either plain or with tomato sauce.
