  • Calamari 20 oz
  • Corn Flour for Polenta 0 oz
  • Ground Black Pepper ½ teaspoon
  • Ocean salt ½ teaspoon
  • Peanut Butter 10 fl oz
  • Sweet Chili Sauce 4 tablespoons
  • Chinese Five Spice ½ teaspoon
  • Lemon 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Rinse the calamari well and clean if necessary. Cut into rings about 2 cm thick.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix the corn flour, black pepper, salt, and spice mix. Add the calamari rings and mix well.

Step 3

Heat the peanut oil in a wok, but not until smoking, and fry the calamari rings in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to paper towels, then to a plate, and keep warm covered with foil.

Step 4

Serve hot with chili sauce and lemon wedges.
