Ingredients
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Ham 6 pieces
- Asparagus 12 stalks
- Flaky sea salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Pour half of the oil into a skillet (baking tray) that can fit the asparagus stalks in a single layer, covering the bottom.
Step 3
Cut each slice of ham lengthwise into two pieces.
Step 4
Trim and discard the tough ends of the asparagus. Wrap the ham around each stalk (if the asparagus is thin, you can take a few stalks and wrap them together).
Step 5
Place the wrapped asparagus in the skillet and drizzle with the remaining oil. Season to taste.
Step 6
Bake the asparagus in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes (depending on the thickness of the stalks), until tender but still firm. Try not to overcook the asparagus, or it will become soft and difficult to handle.
Step 7
Serve the dish hot, accompanied by aioli sauce.
