Description

Frico (Apple-Cheese Frittata)

Ingredients

  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Cheese Spread 20 oz
  • Apple 20 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Take small, non-sour apples, such as crab apples, peel them, and remove the core using a special tool. Slice them into thin rounds and place them in a bowl. Take soft cheese, such as Emmental, slice it thinly, add it to the apples, season with salt and pepper, and gently mix everything together.

Step 2

Melt 75 g of butter in a skillet, add the cheese-apple mixture, stirring occasionally, and wait until the cheese melts. After that, allow a crust to form on the bottom. Flip the frittata using a plate, add the remaining butter to the skillet, and cook until a crust forms on the other side, then serve.
