French Toast with Cinnamon and Pear Sauce
Ingredients
- Pears 4 pieces
- Butter 5 oz
- Cinnamon 1 stick
- Oranges 1 piece
- Lemon 1 piece
- Sugar 4 tablespoons
- Stale Bread 4 slices
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grate the zest of the lemon and orange.
Step 2
Peel the pears and cut them into cubes.
Step 3
Place the pears in a saucepan, add the butter, juice, and zest of the lemon and orange. Add sugar and cinnamon. Simmer for 30 minutes over low heat.
Step 4
Soak the slices of bread in milk, dip in the egg, and fry in butter. Place on a paper towel, then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Step 5
Arrange the French toast on a plate and drizzle with pear sauce.
