
French Toast Croque Madame and Croque Monsieur

Description
The sauce should be thick enough not to run. All ingredients are added in small amounts.
Ingredients
- Sourdough Bread 4 pieces
- Ham 2 slices
- Butter 0 oz
- Dijon Mustard 1 teaspoon
- Milk 4 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour 1 teaspoon
- Parmesan Cheese 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Trim the crusts off the bread. Spread butter on 2 slices and place them in the oven for 5–7 minutes.
Step 2
Make the sauce. In a skillet, melt a small amount of butter, add flour, milk, mustard, and grated cheese. Stir until smooth. Spread the sauce on the remaining 2 slices of bread. Top with ham, grated cheese, and the bread from the oven. Place the prepared toasts in the oven for 5–7 minutes until the cheese melts.
Step 3
Fry an egg in butter. Be careful not to break the yolk! Remove the toasts from the oven, and place the fried egg on one of them — this is the Croque Madame with a hat.
