
French Onion Dip with Yogurt

Ingredients
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Onion 35 oz
- Salt ¾ teaspoon
- Mushroom seasoning 1¾ cups
- Dried onion powder 2 teaspoons
- 9% Vinegar 2 tablespoons
- Sour Cream 10 oz
- Natural Yogurt 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion, season with salt, and sauté, stirring, until golden brown for 6–10 minutes.
Step 2
Pour in the broth and cook until all the liquid evaporates, stirring, about 10–15 minutes.
Step 3
Then reduce the heat and sauté the onion for another 6–8 minutes until light brown.
Step 4
Sprinkle with dried onion flakes and drizzle with vinegar. Let it evaporate for 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat and cool for 20 minutes.
Step 5
In a bowl, mix the sour cream and yogurt. Add the onion mixture, stir, and chill for 30 minutes.
