  • Pumpkin 0 lbs
  • Chorizo 15 oz
  • Shallot 2 heads
  • Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
  • Spanish onions 2 heads
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Oranges 1 piece
  • Lime 1 piece
  • Olive Oil 0 fl oz
  • Parsley 0 oz
  • Pita 6 pieces
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 390°F. Thinly slice the red onion and marinate it in a mixture of lime and orange juice.

Step 2

Cut the pumpkin into small cubes, about 1.5 to 2 centimeters on each side.

Step 3

Mix olive oil with crushed garlic and salt, then toss the pumpkin pieces in this mixture. Spread them out on a baking sheet, sprinkle with finely chopped chili pepper, and bake in the oven for twenty minutes.

Step 4

In the same mixture of oil, salt, and garlic, sauté finely chopped shallots and diced spicy sausage until the onion becomes soft. Add the roasted pumpkin to the skillet with the chorizo and shallots, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and stir to combine.

Step 5

Wrap the contents of the skillet in flatbreads and top with pickled onions.
