Fettuccine with Mushrooms and Ham
Ingredients
- Fettuccine Pasta 10 oz
- Pickled Chanterelles 5 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Ham 5 oz
- 10% cream 5 fl oz
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese to taste
- Wheat Flour 1½ tablespoons
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
First, boil the pasta. To prevent sticking, add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and salt to the water. Cook the pasta until 'al dente' and drain.
Step 2
Chop the mushrooms and boil them for 5-10 minutes in a small amount of water, adding salt.
Step 3
Now let's make the sauce. In a skillet, melt the butter and add the flour, mixing it with the butter and seasoning well with salt. Then add the cream. Since we salted the flour, it should blend well into the cream. Stir until smooth and add the mushrooms along with a little of the broth, mixing well again. Chop the ham and add it to the sauce.
Step 4
Combine everything and add grated cheese, preferably a hard cheese.
