Ingredients
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper ½ teaspoon
- Sugar 2 teaspoons
- Heavy cream 10 fl oz
- Chopped Sage Leaves to taste
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 5 oz
- Fettuccine Pasta 5 oz
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Onion 2 heads
- Passata Tomato Sauce 20 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a large skillet, melt the butter, add the olive oil, and heat over medium-high heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until soft, then add the tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and sugar.
Step 2
Then reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for 20–30 minutes, stirring constantly. The sauce should thicken. Remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
Step 3
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
Step 4
In the skillet with the sauce, add the grated cheese, then add the cooked pasta and gently mix to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. Sprinkle the fettuccine with basil leaves and serve.
