Fennel in Orange Juice and White Wine
Ingredients
- Fennel 25 oz
- Butter 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Orange juice concentrate 1½ cups
- Coarse Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Dry White Wine ½ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Clean the fennel (2 heads) and cut each into 4 lengthwise pieces.
Step 2
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil. Add the fennel and sauté for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Step 3
Pour in the orange juice, season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
Step 4
Add the wine and cook for another 10 minutes, until the fennel is very soft and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.
