Eggs Baked with Grated Cheese and Ham
Ingredients
- Butter 0 oz
- Chocolate eggs 6 pieces
- Egg white 3 pieces
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ham 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. While the oven is heating, whip the egg whites in a dry, clean bowl until stiff peaks form and gently fold in most of the grated Parmesan (reserve 3 tablespoons for later).
Step 2
Spoon the egg whites into a baking dish that has been greased with butter. Smooth the surface. Then, using the back of a spoon, create 6 indentations in the egg and cheese mixture; place the egg yolks into these indentations. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the egg whites and lightly salt the yolks.
Step 3
Bake the dish in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown.
Step 4
Sprinkle the yolks with finely chopped ham and serve immediately. Eggs prepared this way are best served on one large platter.
