Eggplant Rolls with Cottage Cheese Filling
Ingredients
- Eggplants 5 pieces
- Cheese 10 oz
- Cottage cheese 10 oz
- Herbs 1 bunch
- Garlic to taste
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Olive Oil to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the eggplants, trim the green tops, and slice them lengthwise into pieces about 5 mm thick. Then place them on a baking sheet previously greased with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, and send them to the oven for 15 minutes.
Step 2
While the eggplants are cooking, prepare the filling for the rolls. For this, grate the cheese, mix it with the cottage cheese and finely chopped herbs, add garlic, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Wrap the filling in the soft and still warm eggplant slices, so the cheese melts slightly and the garlic becomes more aromatic. If the eggplants are well-cooked and not thicker than 5 mm, the rolls will not unravel.
Step 4
The finished dish can be topped with herbs. Enjoy your meal!
