- Eggplants 2 pieces
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Gruyère cheese 5 oz
- Cheshire Cheese 5 oz
- Butter 4 tablespoons

Step 1
Grease a rectangular baking dish with butter. Slice the eggplants thinly and arrange them in an even layer at the bottom of the dish. Then sprinkle with minced garlic, grated cheese, and place pieces of butter on top.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Bake the gratin for about 45 minutes, until it is topped with a crispy, light brown crust.
