Deviled eggs with shakshuka flavor
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 5 pieces
- Mayonnaise 0 oz
- Canned Tomatoes (Pelati) 5 oz
- Spanish onions ½ heads
- Grated Ginger Root 0 oz
- Garlic ½ cloves
- Mild Chili Spice ½ pieces
- Cilantro 0 oz
- Dried Rosemary 0 oz
- Ground Cumin 1½ g
- Feta cheese 0 oz
- Basil 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the eggs gently to prevent the yolks from darkening. Peel them, slice them open, and carefully remove the yolks, taking care not to damage the whites.
Step 2
Mix the egg yolks with the mayonnaise until smooth.
Step 3
Dice the red onion finely and sauté it lightly until it becomes translucent but still retains its crunch. Add grated ginger, garlic, finely chopped chili, cumin, and oregano.
Step 4
Sauté for 1 minute, then add the tomatoes and cook until the sauce thickens. Just a few seconds before it's ready, stir in the finely chopped cilantro and basil, reserving a bit for garnish.
Step 5
Fold the mixture into the remaining egg white, and garnish with herbs, small pieces of cheese, and cumin.
