Cumberland Sauce
Ingredients
- Lemon 1 piece
- Oranges ½ piece
- Fruit Jelly 3 tablespoons
- Worcestershire Sauce 1½ teaspoons
- Dijon Mustard ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the peel of the lemon and orange into very thin strips. Place a small pot of water on the heat. When it boils, add the citrus peels and cook for 2 minutes. Drain the water and set aside.
Step 2
Melt the jelly in a saucepan and add the lemon juice, stir in the mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Add the peels just before serving the sauce. Serve hot or cold with fish or roasted meat.
