Crostini with Mushrooms and Thyme
Ingredients
- Fresh Mushrooms 20 oz
- Country Bread 2 pieces
- Olive Oil 4 tablespoons
- Shallot 1 piece
- Chopped Sage Leaves 1 teaspoon
- Ocean salt to taste
- Minced garlic ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Parsley to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Brush the pieces of bread with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and toast on both sides on a preheated grill or toaster.
Step 2
In a skillet, heat the remaining olive oil and sauté the thinly sliced mushrooms over high heat for 6-7 minutes until golden brown.
Step 3
Add the finely chopped shallot, thyme, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper and cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 4
Spread the mushrooms on the toasts and cut them in half. Arrange on plates, drizzle with olive oil, and garnish with sprigs of parsley.
