Ingredients

  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Lime 1 piece
  • Chili Flakes a pinch
  • Cilantro 2 tablespoons
  • Safflower Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Pork Mince 10 oz
  • Iceberg Lettuce 1 head
  • Carrot 1 piece
  • Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
  • Honey 1 tablespoon
  • Herbs 1 bunch
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Heat a large skillet or wok. Mix minced garlic, chili, half a teaspoon of salt with black pepper, lime juice, and chopped cilantro.

Step 2

Pour oil into the skillet and add the garlic mixture with spices, sauté for 20 seconds. Add the ground pork and cook for 6-8 minutes until browned, breaking up lumps with a wooden spoon.

Step 3

Meanwhile, separate the lettuce into individual leaves. Cut off the tough bottom part. You will need about 8 leaves. Grate the carrot.

Step 4

Add honey and soy sauce to the skillet, mix, and cook until the liquid evaporates. Serve the lettuce leaves and filling separately on plates so guests can fill the leaves themselves. Serve the carrot and herbs on the side to sprinkle over the meat.
