Crispy broccoli in oyster sauce
Ingredients
- Broccoli 20 oz
- Olive Oil 2 spoons
- Garlic 1 clove
- Sesame Oil 1 tablespoon
- Onion 1 head
- Oyster Mushrooms 2 spoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare a large bowl of ice water. Blanch the broccoli florets for 2 minutes, starting from the moment the water returns to a boil. Immediately drain the broccoli in a colander and plunge it into the ice water to cool. Remove from the water and transfer to a serving dish.
Step 2
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic petals and sauté until they become crispy and golden.
Step 3
Before serving, heat the remaining olive oil together with the sesame oil in a skillet. Add the onion and sauté over medium heat for 5 minutes until softened.
Step 4
Add the broccoli florets and sauté gently, stirring carefully to prevent the florets from breaking apart while ensuring they heat through thoroughly. Add the oyster sauce, mix well, then add the crispy garlic flakes. Taste for salt and pepper, and serve immediately.
