
Creamy Oatmeal with Peaches

Description
After cooking the oatmeal, remove the vanilla pod, wash it, and dry it. Place it in a sugar bowl and cover with a lid. You will have vanilla sugar.
Ingredients
- Ground Oats 0 oz
- 3.2% Milk 5 fl oz
- Cream 22% 5 fl oz
- Sugar 1½ tablespoons
- Ground Cinnamon a pinch
- Vanilla Pod 1 piece
- Donut Peaches 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the vanilla pod in half lengthwise. Use the sharp edge of a knife to scrape out the black vanilla seeds from the pod. Set aside.
Step 2
Peel the peach and remove the pit. Cut into wedges. Place the wedges in a bowl, sprinkle with sugar, and mix. Set aside until needed.
Step 3
Combine the milk and cream in a saucepan, add the vanilla seeds and the pod. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Stir. Add the oats. Add the peach wedges and all the juice that has released from them. Cook, stirring, over medium heat until thickened, about 7 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit covered for a couple of minutes.
Step 4
Serve the oatmeal, sprinkled with a pinch of cinnamon.
