Cranberry Dessert Bread
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Brown Sugar 1 cup
- Baking Powder 0 oz
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
- Large eggs 1 piece
- Milk ¾ cup
- Cranberry 10 oz
- Butter 4 tablespoons
- Brown Sugar 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Grease a loaf pan, approximately 23x13 cm, with butter and dust with flour (I used a silicone mold). In a large bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and set aside. In a medium bowl, mix the butter, egg, and milk. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stir, and fold in the cranberries.
Step 2
Pour the batter into the prepared pan, and sprinkle with coarse brown sugar on top. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean, about 1 hour 15 minutes. Remove the finished bread from the oven, let it cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then remove the bread from the pan and cool completely.
