Description
Cottage Cheese Pancakes with Orange-Apple Sauce
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese 20 oz
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour 5 tablespoons
- Butter 0 oz
- Vanilla salt 1 teaspoon
- Salt a pinch
- Oranges 1 piece
- Apple 1 piece
- Grated Ginger Root to taste
- Cinnamon to taste
- Sugar 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. For the sauce, divide the orange into segments, removing the membranes and seeds, cut into small pieces, and place in a saucepan. Peel the apple, remove the core, and cut into small cubes, grate the ginger on a fine grater, and add everything to the orange. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and cinnamon, and stir.
Step 2
Heat until boiling, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly and the apples become very soft. The finished sauce can be blended into a puree or left chunky.
Step 3
Place the cottage cheese in a bowl and mash it with a fork until smooth. Lightly beat the eggs with sugar (2 tablespoons) and add to the cottage cheese, mixing well. Add the flour, salt, and vanilla sugar, and thoroughly mix the cottage cheese mixture.
Step 4
Sprinkle the table with flour. Dust your hands with flour to prevent the cottage cheese from sticking. Shape 10 balls: first roll a ball in your hands, gently flatten it to form a disk about 7 mm thick, and place it on the floured work surface.
Step 5
Heat the butter in a skillet (preferably one with a removable handle) over low heat. When it melts, add the pancakes and fry until golden brown, turning once. Then transfer the skillet to the oven (or first place in a baking dish) and finish cooking the pancakes. This will take about 5 minutes.
Step 6
Place the finished pancakes on a plate and top with the orange-apple sauce.
