Ingredients

  • Chicken Egg 2 pieces
  • Semi-soft cream cheese 15 oz
  • Wheat Flour 2 spoons
  • Raw cane sugar 3 spoons
  • Ocean salt a pinch
  • Butter 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Beat the eggs, add sugar, salt, and cottage cheese - mix until the mixture is uniform. Add flour and mix well again. This can be done either by hand or using a blender.

Step 2

Melt the butter in a frying pan, using a spoon to scoop the mixture onto the pan, and cook in the form of small flat pancakes over medium heat until a delicate golden crust forms. If desired, you can add a little more flour. I don't add extra because it makes the cottage cheese thicker and gives a floury taste. With two tablespoons of flour, the cheese pancakes will be quite soft and may be difficult to flip in the pan, so try covering them with a lid while frying on both sides.

Step 3

The most delicious way to enjoy syrniki is with sour cream, fresh cranberries or strawberries mixed with sugar, Nutella, or thawed berries. In the summer, they are best served with fresh fruits.
