Chili Sauce
Ingredients
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
- Grated Ginger Root 1 teaspoon
- Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
- Lemongrass 2 stalks
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Spanish onions 1 head
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Sugar ½ teaspoon
- Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Red Long Chili Peppers 1 piece
- Sweet Chili Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Ketchup 1 tablespoon
- Water 10 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a small skillet, heat the vegetable oil over low heat. Add the chopped lemongrass, ginger, finely chopped chili, red onion, minced garlic, salt, sugar, and soy sauce. Sauté the vegetables for 7-8 minutes, then add the finely chopped red pepper and sauté for another 8-10 minutes.
Step 2
Add the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, and simmer for 10 minutes. Transfer to a blender and blend well.
