Ingredients
- Spices ½ teaspoon
- Ground Cumin 2 teaspoons
- Mild Chili Spice 2 teaspoons
- Paprika 1 teaspoon
- Onion 1 head
- Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Red Long Chili Peppers 2 pieces
- Lean Beef 20 oz
- Baking Tomatoes 15 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce 2 tablespoons
- Red Canned Beans 15 oz
- Oregano 1 tablespoon
- Campbell's Beef Broth 10 fl oz
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Tortillas 4 pieces
- Avocado to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat a small skillet over medium heat and sauté the cumin, spices, ground chili, and paprika for 1 minute. Transfer to a plate.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté the finely chopped onion for 2–3 minutes until soft. Add the minced garlic and chopped chili, and sauté for another minute. Add the meat and cook over high heat for 4–5 minutes until golden, breaking up any lumps.
Step 3
Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, beans, broth, oregano, sugar, and spices. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring, for 1 hour. Season with salt and serve with tortillas and guacamole.
