Chicory with a Crust
Ingredients
- Chicory 12 pieces
- Butter 5 oz
- Gruyère cheese 0 oz
- Salt to taste

Step 1
Remove the stems from the chicory, rinse it, and place it in a pot, covering it with water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil. At the same time, bring an equal amount of salted water to a boil in another pot. When the chicory boils, use a slotted spoon to transfer it to the other pot. Bring the water back to a boil and cook for 20 minutes. Then drain the water and transfer the vegetables to a baking dish.
Step 2
Place pieces of butter on top, sprinkle with grated cheese, and bake in a preheated oven at 355°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese melts and turns golden brown. Serve immediately in the same dish.
