Cherry Sauce with Parsley for Meat
Ingredients
- Parsley 0 oz
- Cognac 2 teaspoons
- Corn Starch 1 tablespoon
- Water 2 tablespoons
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Marinated cherries 10 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Remove the pits from the cherries. If using frozen cherries, thaw them beforehand.
Step 2
Place the cherries in a pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, add sugar, and simmer the cherries for 5–10 minutes. Then mash the cherries with a fork.
Step 3
Wash the parsley and chop it finely.
Step 4
Dissolve the cornstarch in water, add the cognac. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the cherries, bring to a boil, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for another 1–2 minutes.
Step 5
Add the parsley and turn off the heat.
Step 6
Serve chilled with meat.
