Cheese Snail
Ingredients
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Puff Pastry 20 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Toasted Sesame to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Roll out the dough (not too thin) on a floured surface. Cut into five equal strips.
Step 2
Generously spread cheese (grated on a coarse grater) on each strip. Pinch the edges tightly to form ropes.
Step 3
Grease a baking dish or baking sheet (just a little!) with oil. Place the snail: sequentially attach the ropes, starting from the center and working around.
Step 4
Beat the yolk with a fork in a separate container until smooth. Using a brush, coat the snail with the beaten yolk over the entire surface.
Step 5
Sprinkle on top with sesame seeds (about 1 tablespoon) (you can also use sea salt).
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for 20 minutes.
