Cheese Pie with Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 1 cup
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Cheese Spread 10 oz
  • Chopped Sage Leaves 1½ teaspoons
  • Salt ½ teaspoon
  • Marinated cherries 20 oz
  • Shallot 3 pieces
  • Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Honey 2 teaspoons
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 345°F.

Step 2

Mix all the filling ingredients (tomatoes, shallots, oil, honey, salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon of thyme) in a bowl and set aside.

Step 3

Cut the butter into small cubes and rub it together with the flour using your fingers. Add the cheese, 0.5 teaspoons of thyme, and 0.5 teaspoons of salt. Mix until there are no lumps.

Step 4

Press the mixture into a pie dish. Pack it tightly.

Step 5

Spread the filling on top. Bake for about 1 hour until golden brown.

Step 6

Let it cool slightly for about 10–20 minutes. Carefully remove the pie from the dish, as the base is very delicate and may crumble.
