Description

Cheese fondue with white wine

Ingredients

  • Vegetables to taste
  • Corn Starch 2 tablespoons
  • Hard Cheese 10 oz
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 0 fl oz
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Skin-On Chicken Breasts to taste
  • Fresh Mushrooms to taste
  • White bread to taste
  • Pears to taste
  • Sourdough Bread to taste
  • Grapefruits to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Pour white wine into a small pot. Place it on low heat and warm it up. The main thing is to not let it boil.

Step 2

Add finely chopped garlic to the warmed wine. Alternatively, you can just squeeze in the juice.

Step 3

For fondue, use high-quality hard cheese without vegetable fats, otherwise it won't melt evenly. Grate or cube the cheese and add it in portions to the pot, warming it on low heat.

Step 4

While the cheese is melting, mix cornstarch and lemon juice in a separate bowl until smooth. Then add it to the cheese and cook for another 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly.

Step 5

Arrange the dipping ingredients (prepared earlier or simultaneously) around the pot of fondue — boiled chicken, ham, mushrooms, potatoes, cooked cauliflower, fresh vegetables, pears, grapes, black and white bread, croutons — for dipping into the cheese.
