Celery with Béchamel Sauce
Ingredients

- Gruyère cheese 0 oz
- Milk 25 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 3 tablespoons
- Safflower Oil 2 tablespoons
- Butter 0 oz
- Celery salt 6 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the celery stalks 15 cm from the heart. Remove the outer leaves. Rinse well. Boil a large pot of salted water, add the celery hearts, cover, and cook for 10 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and let excess water drain.
Step 2
Melt the butter with the oil in a saucepan, stir in the flour, and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes, then slowly pour in the milk and continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes. Add salt to taste.
Step 3
Place the celery in a baking dish and pour the sauce over it to completely cover. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake for 15 minutes at 355°F until the top is golden brown. Serve immediately in the same dish.
