Cauliflower in Rye Crumbs with Caraway
Ingredients
- Sourdough Bread 4 pieces
- Butter 5 oz
- Cauliflower 1 head
- Ground Caraway ½ teaspoon

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Break the bread into small pieces and grind it in a food processor into crumbs. Spread in a thin layer on a baking sheet and place in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden, stirring occasionally. Let cool.
Step 3
Carefully cut out the core from the cauliflower without damaging the shape of the head, and place it in a pot of boiling water for 15 minutes until tender. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
Step 4
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the lightly crushed caraway seeds, breadcrumbs, 0.5 teaspoons of salt, and 0.25 teaspoons of black pepper. Sauté for about 2 minutes and pour the mixture over the cauliflower. Serve immediately.
