Step 1

In a large skillet, combine diagonally sliced carrots, maple syrup, butter, 75 ml of water, 0.5 teaspoons of salt, and 0.25 teaspoons of pepper.

Step 2

Bring to a boil, cover slightly, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are tender and slightly glazed, about 12-15 minutes (if the carrots become tender before the syrup caramelizes, uncover and increase the heat).
