Caprese with Roasted Tomatoes in Balsamic Vinegar
Ingredients
- Tomatoes 2 pieces
- Garlic 1 clove
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Pizza Mozzarella Cheese 1 piece
- Balsamic Vinegar 2 teaspoons
- Fresh basil leaves 4 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Cut the tomatoes in half and place them on a baking sheet, cut side up. Season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with minced garlic. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Roast in the oven for about 1 hour. Let cool.
Step 3
Slice the mozzarella into rounds and arrange on plates. Place a basil leaf on each piece, topped with a piece of tomato. Drizzle with the juices from the tomatoes and serve.
