Canapés from 'The Mischievous Kids'

Ingredients

  • Rye Bread 20 oz
  • Liver Pâté 5 oz
  • Blue Cheese 5 oz
  • Granny Smith apples 1 piece
  • Pears 1 piece
  • Celery stalk 3 pieces
  • Carrot 3 pieces
  • Mustard Greens 1 tablespoon
  • Honey 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Slice the caraway bread into 1 cm thick pieces; cut each slice into 2-3 parts depending on their size.

Step 2

Spread liver pâté on half of the slices of bread. Peel the apple. Cut it into quarters, then halve each quarter, and slice it as thinly as possible across. Arrange the apple triangles on the pâté.

Step 3

Spread the remaining slices of bread with cheese. Cut the pear in the same way you cut the apple.

Step 4

Cut the celery stalk into 5 cm sticks. Peel the carrot and cut it lengthwise into 4 pieces. Place the vegetable sticks in a glass, alternating between the celery and carrot.

Step 5

Use a mixer to combine the mustard, honey, and oil. Add salt and pepper. Serve this sauce with canapés.
