Description

Caesar is not a title, but the name of a man who invented this dressing and salad. An Italian-Mexican named John Cardini never revealed the exact ingredients needed for a true Caesar. However, decades of research have helped uncover a recipe that is close to the original.

Ingredients

  • Whole egg 1 piece
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Anchovies 4 pieces
  • Salt 1 tablespoon
  • Ground Black Pepper 1 tablespoon
  • Worcestershire Sauce 1 tablespoon
  • Olive Oil 5 fl oz
  • Dijon Mustard 1 tablespoon
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
  • Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.

Step 2

Whisk the mustard with the egg yolk and salt in a deep bowl.

Step 3

Gradually add olive oil, whisking the contents of the bowl until it becomes mayonnaise.

Step 4

Once all the olive oil is emulsified, add lemon juice, ground pepper, Worcestershire sauce, crushed anchovy fillets, minced garlic, and grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce.

Step 5

Whisk together and serve with any salad greens, chicken, and anything else edible.
