Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Remove the old leaves from the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Boil in salted water for 6–8 minutes until tender, making sure they retain their color. Drain.
Step 2
In a saucepan, melt the butter with the olive oil and broth over medium heat, then add the Brussels sprouts, chopped chestnuts, and sage. Sauté, stirring, for 2–4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
