Broccoli Sauté
Ingredients
- Broccoli 1⅖ kg
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Anchovy fillet 10 pieces
- Olive Oil 0 fl oz
- Breadcrumbs 0 oz
- Salt to taste
- White Pepper (whole) to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the broccoli and cut it into florets. Bring 6 liters of water to a boil in a pot.
Step 2
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Sauté the anchovies and halved garlic cloves for five minutes, stirring frequently, until golden brown and fragrant.
Step 3
While the garlic and anchovies are cooking, plunge the broccoli florets into boiling water for just one minute. Then, add the broccoli to the skillet with the anchovies and garlic, and cook over low heat for another ten to twelve minutes — during this time, the broccoli should become tender.
Step 4
Season the contents of the skillet with salt, generously pepper with freshly ground black pepper, and serve, sprinkled with breadcrumbs.
