Ingredients

  • Red Currant 5 lbs
  • Sugar 3 tablespoons
  • Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Red Grape Juice 10 fl oz
  • Red Wine Vinegar 0 fl oz
  • Bay leaf 1 piece
  • Cinnamon ½ piece
  • Ground clove 2 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the cabbage head into 4 parts and finely shred it.

Step 2

Heat a deep skillet and add vegetable oil. Add the cabbage and sauté, stirring, for 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well, cover with a lid, and braise, stirring, for 20 minutes until the cabbage becomes soft. Remove the cloves, bay leaf, and cinnamon. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
