Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
- Fresh Mushrooms 5 lbs
- Red Grape Juice 15 fl oz
- Onion 5 oz
- Chicken Broth 15 fl oz
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Worcestershire Sauce 2 teaspoons
- Chopped Sage Leaves to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the flour and mix well.
Step 2
Add the chopped mushrooms, wine, broth, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer until the mushrooms are tender and the sauce thickens, about 40 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Transfer to a serving bowl, sprinkle with parsley, and serve.
