Braised leeks with lemon
Ingredients
- Leek 4 stalks
- Butter 0 oz
- Chicken Broth 0 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Citrus Zest Mix 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step 1
Remove the upper, toughest leaves from the leek and cut off the hard dark green part. You should be left with pieces about 15–20 cm long (depending on the size of the stalk). Soak them in cold water for about fifteen minutes, occasionally agitating them to release any sand and dirt.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a skillet. Add the leeks directly while they are still wet. Cook over low heat for five minutes, then add the zest and broth. Cover with a lid and simmer for five minutes until tender. At the end, season to taste with salt and pepper.
