Braised Colorful Peppers with Thyme and Garlic
Ingredients
- Olive Oil 5 fl oz
- Orange Bell Peppers 3 pieces
- Orange Bell Peppers 3 pieces
- Garlic 8 cloves
- Thyme 4 sprigs
- Water 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Balsamic Vinegar 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Remove the seeds from the peppers and cut them into 4 pieces, then slice them thinly.
Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the peppers, garlic, and thyme, and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes until golden brown.
Step 3
Pour in the water and slightly reduce the heat. Cover with a lid and cook, stirring, for 20 minutes until the peppers are soft.
Step 4
Add the vinegar, cover, and cook for another 5 minutes or until the liquid thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately.
