- Peeled chestnuts 25 oz

Step 1
Peel 750 grams of chestnuts and place them in a buttered saucepan. Pour in the chicken broth and add a sprig of celery for flavor. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and if necessary, add a teaspoon of sugar.
Step 2
Bring to a boil, cover with a lid, and simmer on low heat for 40 minutes, gradually adding liquid but not stirring to avoid damaging the chestnuts.
