Bolognese Sauce with White Wine
Ingredients
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Bacon 0 oz
- Lean Beef 5 oz
- Carrot 1 piece
- Celery stalk 2 stalks
- Passata Tomato Sauce 6 tablespoons
- Clove 1 piece
- Dry White Wine 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop all the ingredients — bacon, meat, onion, celery, and carrot — very finely. Then heat the olive oil in a saucepan, add the bacon, and cook over low heat, stirring, for 5 minutes. Add the meat, onion, carrot, celery, and clove, season with salt, and cook, stirring, for 10 minutes, until the meat is browned and the vegetables are soft.
Step 2
Stir in the tomato paste and wine, cover the saucepan with a lid, and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
