Description
Boiled artichokes can be served hot, warm, or cold.
Ingredients
- Artichoke bottoms 6 pieces
- Water 10 qt
- Salt 10 teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Trim the dry leaves from the artichokes and place them in boiling salted water. To prevent color loss, cover the artichokes with a double layer of cheesecloth. Bring the water back to a boil over high heat and cook uncovered for 35-45 minutes. The artichokes are done when they can be easily pierced with a knife and the leaves come off easily.
Step 2
Using a slotted spoon, quickly transfer the artichokes to drain and dry them well.
